Work continues apace at Malta Freeport Terminals on two new Megamax quayside cranes from Liebherr Container Cranes which further enhance the Terminals’ capability to handle the world’s largest container ships. The first crane is assembled up to the main beam. Side panels are currently being finalised on the second crane before lifting and mounting on the end carriages. The cranes form part of an advanced strategic investment programme to consolidate the Freeport’s position as one of the most advanced transhipment terminals in the Mediterranean region.
