Breaking Bulk…… #MaltaFreeportTerminals successfully handled a delicate lifting operation involving two 82 tonne condensers, which were transferred from the Ningbo Express, after arriving from India, and placed on the 270-metre-long CC Kristina bound for the Dominican Republic. Known as a break bulk operation, these huge condensers were lifted from identified lifting points using looping straps around and underneath the cargo. The discharge and loading lifts of each items took around three hours and required the presence of our Break Bulk Operations Manager, his assistant, two lashing foremen and four lashers. A big well done to our team who performed the operation safely and with maximum efficiency!
