At Malta Freeport Terminals believe all our female colleagues are special. So, to mark Women’s Day, our CEO Alex Montebello and Chief HR & Risk Officer Noel Scerri handed each of our ladies a beautifully handcrafted bar of soap. Made up entirely of natural ingredients, the bars also contained inspirational messages – including ‘Be bold, be brave be you’; ‘If you want to fly, you have to give up the things that weigh you down’; and ‘The question isn’t who’s going to let me, but who’s going to stop me’ – which reinforced our company’s appreciation women in our workforce. As well as having a practical use, the soap bars were shaped like roses, with individual petals, and transmitted messages of self-care, relaxation and well-being; however, we couldn’t let the occasion pass without also raising a glass of Prosecco to our colleages and giving them the opportunity to indulge in a chocolate or two. Our staff also dedicated time to distribute plants to elderly ladies at the Birżebbuġa Day Care Centre who were genuinely touched by the gesture. Let’s hear it for women everywhere, young and old!
