We are proud to announce the re-election of our CEO Alex Montebello as Vice Chairperson of the Malta Maritime Forum Board.

Mr Montebello said: “I am delighted to once again serve the MMF in its mission to promote and develop the maritime industry in Malta. Under the chairmanship of Godwin Xerri, the forum has served a vital function, facilitating communication between various sectors within the industry as well as the Government.”

Set up in 2015, the Malta Maritime Forum is a non-governmental organisation that serves as a common platform for Malta-based entities involved in the maritime, logistical and transport sector in Malta. The MMF is also a member of the European Network of Maritime Clusters.

The re-election was confirmed during the MMF’s 2025 Annual General Assembly. This event was preceded by a conference on the upcoming National Maritime Transport Strategy which was addressed by Hon. Chris Bonett, Minister for Transport, Infrastructure & Public Works and Hon. Ivan Castillo, Shadow Minister for Maritime Transport. The Conference also served as a technical session with key industry players participating in the event.
