Making a difference… #MaltaFreeportTerminals staff played their part in this year’s European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR). Their efforts focused on promoting sustainability and raising awareness about waste reduction practices particularly food waste in view that the 2024 edition of the EWWR focused on tackling food waste. Guided by Freeport colleague Adrian Gatt, a seasoned winner of crib competitions, Freeport employees transformed recycled polystyrene and wood into remarkable cribs, merging sustainability with craftsmanship. We printed special T-shirts for the event worn by the participants that were proudly worn with the slogan One Team One Goal. Our colleagues also joined forces with the volunteers at RMJ Horse Rescue for a rewarding cleanup initiative. Their tireless efforts not only made a visible difference to the sanctuary but also showcased their dedication to both the environment and animal welfare. The RMJ team expressed deep gratitude for the remarkable impact achieved in such a short time. A huge well done to the team for their dedication and innovative ideas that made a real impact. Together, we continue to drive change for a cleaner, greener future. #EWWR2024 #FOODWASTE #FOODWASTEISOUTOFTASTE
