Our safety is placed first… #MaltaFreeportTerminals Health and Safety Officers, Katia Fenech and Mario Lanzon, claimed first prize in a Safety Initiative Competition held during the QSSE Seminar at the #CMACGM head office in Marseille, France. Malta Freeport Terminals’ entry, entitled ‘High Wind Procedure’, identified five levels of wind response capable of identifying the optimum point at which port operations should be suspended in adverse weather conditions. The High Wind Response Strategy means personnel have ample time to wind up operations and evacuate the terminals, thereby minimising risk of injury and equipment damage. Congratulations to both Katia and Mario!
