The second of Malta Freeport Terminals’ new Liebherr megamax quayside cranes has now been carefully moved to its Terminal One position, meaning the Freeport now has a formation of five giant cranes side by side at Terminal 1. The newest cranes – expected to be fully operational by July – form part of a multi-million euro investment programme by the Freeport, which is continuously striving to be one of the most efficient and best equipped in the Mediterranean region. We look forward to seeing our new cranes get to work on the world’s most advanced container ships.
