Teamwork doesn’t only happen within our facility. It also takes place in a kitchen, as some of our colleagues exemplified when they lent a helping hand at the Valletta Soup Kitchen run by Franciscan friar Fr Marcellino.
#MaltaFreeportTerminals staff from different departments prepared and served meals, shared conversations, and have gained great satisfaction in giving their time for a worthy cause.
The enthusiasm and heartfelt feedback from our teams have been incredible. What started as a community outreach initiative has turned into a wholesome experience for everyone at our company, and we are delighted to confirm that this initiative will return later this year.
Since opening in August 2021, the Valletta Soup Kitchen has served more than 150,000 meals to tens of thousands of guests, offering not just food but also showers , laundry , and psychiatric support. It’s a testament to solidarity.
We are proud of our people, not only for their hard work at the Freeport but for the compassion and generosity they show beyond it, which is a reflection of what we believe in: solidarity, social responsibility, and the power of people working together for something bigger than themselves.
