๐ข๐๐ฟ ๐ฑ๐ผ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ป ๐ฆบโฆ#MaltaFreeportTerminals is delighted to have welcomed undergraduate BA students reading Occupational Health and Safety.
Accompanied by the Director of the Centre for the Labour Studies, Luke Fiorini, the students were received by our Chief HR & Risk Officer, Noel Scerri and given a guided tour of the premises by QHSE Consultant Mark Sultana and QHSE Manager Christian Grima. The students were provided with detailed information on the Freeportโs operations and the importance of health and safety in the container handling industry. Our Planning Manager, Adrian Mallia, also offered an overview of the various sections of the Freeportโs Operations Departments โ Berthing, Ship and Yard Planning and Equipment Control. This was followed by a presentation on Managing Safety at Malta Freeport Terminals. The Freeport is open to hosting such visits and would like to strengthen its collaboration with the University of Malta and other educational institutions – through similar visits, guest lectures or other initiatives – on initiatives that benefit both students and the industry.
